Deepika Padukone in CocktailDeepika Padukone has become the hottest property of B-Town, thanks to her hot and glamorous look in the promos of upcoming film ‘Cocktail‘ which is releasing this Friday on July 13.

In the film, Deepika is playing a role of Veronica who is an extremely bold girl and doesn’t care much what people speak of her.

About Veronica, the actress says everyone wants to be like her but they are too much concerned about what the society would think of them.

“My character in Cocktail is the kind of person that everybody wants to be, but are not because they are concerned about being judged by society. Veronica doesn’t care, she just speaks her mind. She has had a troubled childhood and now she has found her comfort zone in her friends, Meera and Gautam,” Deepika speaks.

The leggy lass also reveals that she enjoyed the character so much that it took her while to come out of it.

“Director Homi Adajania told me that he didn’t really have to tell me how to act and react, because I had already owned Veronica. It took me a while to get out of the character and come back to my normal self once the shooting was over,” told she.

Deepika has a great chemistry with film’s lead actor Saif Ali Khan with whom she has worked in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ & ‘Aarakshan’, and is also doing Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race 2′ with him.

But she asserts that it was not their conscious decision to work together. “My chemistry with Saif is not tangible, and I like to work with him, as he is a wonderful actor. It is not a conscious decision for us to work together; things just fall into place,” she said.

‘Cocktail’ is directed by Homi Adajani and it marks the Bollywood debut of model Diana Penty. The film is co-produced by Saif Ali Khan’s Illuminati Films.
