Ranbir Kapoor Has A Lot Of Faith About ‘Barfi!’ Making To The Oscars
Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film ‘Barfi!’ has been chosen as India’s official entry to the Oscars and the actor says he has a lot of faith in the film even if it is yet to get a nomination.
“We are not nominated yet. Once we do, the feeling will come. We have a lot of faith and hope from the film,” said Ranbir in his recent interview.
Ranbir further added that it definitely feels good that his film was selected from some of the best films of 2012 but he is even happier that audience is loving it.
“It feels great, but the greater feeling is that the audience is liking the film and its doing great at the box office,” told he.
‘Barfi!’ has collected Rs.70 crore in it’s nine day run at the box office and it might cross the Rs.100 crore mark too. Talking about the great box office success, Ranbir asserted that he didn’t expect the film to perform this well at the box office.
“It has reached people’s hearts. The love that the film has got and the collections show this. We really didn’t expect it to reach that far,” he said.
‘Barfi!’ directed by Anurag Basu also stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz in the leading roles. The critically acclaimed film is having great run in it’s second weekend too.
