Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika PadukoneEx couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are currently working together in Dharma Productions’ ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani‘. And according to the latest reports, both the stars will be seen dancing on Amitabh Bachchan’s chartbuster song ‘Jumma Chumma’ in the film.

‘Jumma Chumma’, originally a part of Mukul Anand’s 1991 film ‘Hum’, was composed by Laxmikanth Pyarelal and crooned by Sudesh Bhosle and Kavita Krishmanurthy.

A source close to the film reveals that Ranbir will not just dance on the song but will sing the song too in the film.

Explaining further, the source says, “Ranbir and Deepika are huge fans of the Big B. It was decided they’d do one of his songs and dance in Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani. The question was which one? The success of Dharma Productions’ remake of Mukul Anand’s ‘Agneepath’ answered that question and it was decided that ‘Jumma Chumma’ with its naughty, perky rhythms and lines would suit Ranbir to the hilt.”

Adarsh Gupta of Saregama, music rights holder of the song, also confirmed the reports stating, “‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani’ team has acquired the rights of the Jumma chumma.”

‘YJHD’ is being directed by Ayaan Mukherjee who earlier directed ‘Wake Up Sid’ for the production house. The film also features Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin in important roles.
