‘Ram Leela’ Is An Intense Love Story : Ranveer Singh

Actor Ranveer Singh has started working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela‘ in which he has been paired up with Deepika Padukone and both of them are spending quite a big time together these days.

Ranveer says it’s a part of his homework for ‘Ram Leela’ and it’s not just Deepika with whom he is getting familiar, but he is doing it with everyone related to the film.

“I’m acquainting myself with the script and the people working on ‘Ram Leela’. Similarly, Deepika and I, the leads, are also getting acquainted. I’ve been out with the assistant directors, the technicians and have met Mr Bhansali for lunch. Similarly, I met Deepika over dinner,” says he.

Singh believes the film is a deep love story and it’s fine to be more familiar with your co-star. “If we’re working on a film for 150 days, and it’s an intense love story, I ought to know the person I’ll be working with so intimately,” tells he.

The film was earlier offered to actress Kareena Kapoor of whom Ranveer is a very big fan. But the deal didn’t workout and the young actor regrets it.

“I was disappointed since I was really looking forward to working with her. When I would discuss our chemistry, Mr Bhansali would say that he cast us because we are high-energy, open-hearted performers. Sadly, it didn’t work out,” asserted Ranveer.

‘Ram Leela’ is being made on the lines of Sanjay’s superhit film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and a major portion of the film will be shot in Gujarat.
