‘Race 3′ Is On, Confirms Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan in Race 2Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Race 2’ which hit the screens on January 25, has netted Rs.50 crore in its first weekend and the film is still going very strong at the box office. Therefore, the makers have decided to bring up the franchise’s third film, ‘Race 3‘.

Race 2’s end has also been left open with John’s character is not shown dead. So, it’s certain that the makers are looking forward to extend the franchise.

When contacted, producer Ramesh Taurani said that they had to work really hard for to live up to the audience’s expectations with ‘Race 2’ but its success has approved their plan of making ‘Race 3’.

“It has been a two year long journey to put together ‘Race 2’. But yes, ‘Race 3’ is definitely on. With the sequel doing so well at the box office, it deserves more installments. We have these as a part of our immediate plans,” stated he.

Saif Ali Khan who has now become synonym of the ‘Race’ franchise, also confirmed the reports of their planning ‘Race 3’.

“We are pretty much confirmed to go ahead with ‘Race 3’. I think if the film continues to run so very well, there is no reason why we shouldn’t extend the story any further. The script will have to be much stronger though,” Saif told.

Meanwhile, the whole ‘Race 2’ cast is enjoying the film’s grand success right now. The film is expected to cross Rs.100 crore net mark by the next week.
