Madhuri Dixit And Shyam Benegal To Be Honored With Raj Kapoor Award
Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit and film director Shyam Benegal have been chosen to be honored with Raj Kapoor awards given by Maharashtra government.
Both the veterans of their field were chosen for their contribution to Indian cinema. While Benegal will receive Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award – 2012, Madhuri will be honored with Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award – 2012.
The prestigious awards will be presented by Prithviraj Chauhan, Chief minister of the state.
Apart from this, personalities from Marathi Film Industry will also be honored at the function. Actress Leela Gandhi and actor Dilip Prabhavalkar will be given V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement award and Special contribution award respectively.
For Madhuri Dixit, this is the second prestigious honor in just a span of few days. The actress was recently been chosen for Deenanath Mangeshkar Award.
