‘Gunday’ Will Show Ranveer Singh And Arjun Kapoor In Different Light
Bollywood’s young stars Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor have been signed on to play the lead roles in Yash Raj Films’ next ‘Gunday‘.
The film is going to be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who has directed ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ starring Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif for the production house.
‘Gunday’ is the story of two powerful mafia guys and it will showcase Ranveer and Arjun in completely different avatars. “It will show both Arjun and Ranveer in a completely different light,” stated Yash Raj’s spokesperson.
The film has a backdrop of Kolkata and it will entirely be shot in the West Bengal city.
Revealing some more details about the film, a source close to the film said, “Ali’s film will show the journey of Bikram and Bala from small-time wagon breakers and coal thieves to powerful mafia leaders. Aditya Chopra and Ali have settled on ‘Gunday’ as the title.”
‘Gunday’ will be the third Yash Raj Film for both Ranveer and Arjun. While Ranveer has done ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ and ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ with the banner, Arjun who made his Bollywood debut with their ‘Ishaqzaade’, is currently working in the production house’s another film ‘Aurangzeb’.
