Entertainment Is A Must For Any Film’s Box Office Success : Ajay Devgan
Ajay Devgan who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Bol Bachchan‘, believes entertainment is a must for any film to be successful at the box office.
The actor tells that audience spends money to get entertained and not to be educated. “If the audience spends money on a movie, they want to get entertained. They don’t want to get educated. Entertainment can be comedy or action. This is the bottom line,” tells he.
Ajay further adds, “If your film has done a Rs100 crore business, people have seen it. You can’t make a fool of the audience. Whatever the audiences like, you will have to give them.”
After the release of ‘Bol Bachchan’, Ajay will start working on Prakash Jha’s ‘Satyagrah’ and he says the director is expert making a realistic films with high entertainment quota.
He says, “Prakash Jha picks up a realistic idea and makes it very engaging and entertaining. There are other filmmakers who pick up ideas, but make it very boring. I am doing a film with him called ‘Satyagraha’, it’s very entertaining. It’s not like I will not do serious films, but it has to be entertaining, they can’t be a documentary,” he said.
Ajay Devgan’s ‘Bol Bachchan’ is releasing on July 6. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai in the pivotal roles.
