Emraan Hashmi Dons Director’s Hat
Emraan Hashmi who has established himself as a versatile actor, is now trying his hands at the different aspect of film-making.
The actor is currently shooting for Visha Bhardwaj Productions’ ‘Ek Thi Daayan‘ and he donned the director’s hat for a day on the film’s sets.
‘Ek Thi Daayan’ is being directed by debutant director Kanan who is also making a cameo in the film and Emraan decided to direct the shot featuring the director.
Talking about the shot, director Kanan said, “I decided to do a small role in the film for fun. And I wanted someone else to direct me. Emraan was around and he stepped up and said, why not? It was fun.”
The scene showcases Kanan taking a lecture in a school when Emraan enters the class room searching for someone.
So, how did the director feel while being directed by someone else?
“I’m not an actor. So I can’t judge myself. I needed an outsider to tell me if my shot worked or needed more work. Emraan guided me through the scene and made sure that I looked like a scientist. We worked on the look, dialogues and reactions,” replied he.
