Deepika Padukone Is The Right Choice To Play Leela, Says Ranveer Singh
Actor Ranveer Singh who is working in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’, confesses that he got very disappointed when he came to know that his favorite actress Kareena Kapoor is no more a part of the film.
He says, “I found out that she wasn’t doing the film right after my birthday, and it was a big bummer. I hope I get an opportunity to work with her in the future.”
However, Ranveer has no problem with his new Leela Deepika Padukone and believes she is just perfect to play the character.
“She definitely looks the part better than anyone else. She looks like traditional Gujarati girls, They are slender, dusky and have sharp features,” tells the ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ actor.
Ranveer also insists that it would very interesting to see Deepika playing a role of a village girl as she has always portrayed urban characters on screen.
“It will be exciting to see her in a new avatar because she has mostly played urban roles, “says he adding, “Having worked in half a dozen films, she has grown in leaps and bounds as an actor. And finally, she has proved herself with Cocktail. And after speaking to her, I’ve realised that she is eager to do roles that require real performances.”
