Agneepath’s Release Date shifted to 26th January
Dharma Production’s Agneepath which was slated to release on 13th January, now will release on 26th January, two weeks later than the original release date.
The change in the release date of the film is due to change in the release date of Aamir Khan’s next tentatively titled ‘Dhuan’ which was supposed to be release on 26th January. ‘Dhuan’ starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee has some post-production work left, not permitting the film to release on the scheduled date.
On the other hand, there is a four day long Republic Day weekend which can be great for any film. So, Producer Karan Johar grabbed the opportunity and decided to shift the film’s release date on The Republic Day.
Karan Johar tweeted about the release date : “AGNEEPATH is now releasing on the 26th of January, 2012″.
Agneepath’s first theatrical promo was launch on 28th August,2011. The promo has met with tremendous response from critics and viewers.
‘Agneepath’ stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra in leading roles and Sanjay Dutt in a negative role. The film is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s classic film Agneepath(1990).
