Abhishek Bachchan Signs Ekta Kapoor’s Next

Abhishek BachchanBollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan who was suffering a rough period of his career due to his films’ lackluster performances at the box office, has roared back into the business with his latest film ‘Bol Bachchan’ turning out to be a big hit.

He is very much back in demand and many producers are queuing up to sign him in their film.

According to the reports, producer Ekta Kapoor has also signed the actor to star in her production’s upcoming film.

The film is going to be a raw hardcore action flick and will feature Abhishek as ‘angry young man’ – the tag which is attached to his father, Amitabh Bachchan. The film is currently under scripting stage and it is being written by Rajat Arora.

A source close to the producer says, “Ekta wants Abhishek to be the angry young man. Amitabh Bachchan ruled the industry for decades as the angry young man and Ekta wants Abhishek to carry forward the legacy. She wants Rajat to do the job that Salim-Javed did for Amitabh Bachchan.”

“Ekta is very happy with Abhishek’s work in Bol Bachchan. She feels that it’s the right time to work with him. They are also very fond of each other,” added the source.

The action film is expected to go on floors by the end of the year. Abhishek is right now busy shooting for his upcoming Yash Raj Film ‘Dhoom 3′ in which he is working with Aamir Khan.
